Before Idle Tea, my world was built on the logic of 0s and 1s.
As a software engineer in the U.S. for many years, I lived in a world of silent dialogues with machines. While the code was perfect, I found myself longing for the one thing a screen couldn't provide: human warmth. To find that connection, I hit the "Reset" button and returned to Taiwan to open a Japanese Donburi restaurant. In the steam of that kitchen and the smiles of my guests, I rediscovered the joy of serving people face-to-face.
But throughout every chapter—whether facing high-stakes tech deadlines or the relentless rush of a busy dinner service—there was one "Constant" in my life: Milk Tea.
For me, milk tea has always been more than a drink; it was my "happy place." A single sip could turn a stressful bug into an interesting puzzle and transform the exhaustion of running a business into pure motivation. No matter the city or the career, milk tea remained my unchanging passion.
Now, I’ve returned to the U.S. to merge engineering precision with a chef’s soul.
We’ve even fixed the most common "Bug" in the tea world: flavor dilution. To ensure your drink never loses its character, we engineered our signature Tea Cubes—frozen gems of premium tea that keep your flavor profile consistent from the first sip to the last.
In the fast-paced life of Southern California, we invite you to hit the "Idle" button. Drop the pressure, and find your moment of pure joy.
